The US Navy officials who transferred the Brooklyn Navy Yard to city management never imagined in their wildest dreams that local politicians would force out tenants for supporting the United States Military. After building the ships that won the Civil War, WWI, and WWII, daring to continue that tradition leads to city council members berating you, local colleges protesting you, and lease cancellations by your new landlord. The $29M in Federal aid the yard received last year should be the last dollar they ever receive from taxpaying citizens, absent a forceful course correction from Lindsay Greene, current President & CEO of the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
